Projecting Oranges Full Voice In Projecting Oranges, a contemporary queer relationship comedy, Elle tries to get Ivy out of her funk... but first she has to get her off the couch. As new flat-mates, their once easy banter is stressed by the close-quarters, as well as two new additions to their social circle, Peter, with his biting sense of humor, and the always good-natured (and up for a good time), Jenny. And despite this foursome’s easy-going attitude about everything from non-monogamy to vegan food, their relationships are anything but. Lincoln Ave Admission: Free Audience members will have the unique opportunity to directly impact the development of this new play by completing comment cards after the reading. The reading, directed by Breahan Eve Pautsch, features Kate Brown, Elana Elyce, Naomi Finkelstein, Richard Paro and Cyra K. Polizzi. An excerpt of Projecting Oranges (originally titled Sleeping Till Noon), developed in Stockyards Theatre Project's "Play For Keeps" program, was performed as a staged reading on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 7:30pm at Theatre Building Chicago, along with other pieces created in the Play For Keeps program. The reading, directed by Breahan Eve Pautsch, featured Carrie Bain, Chris Conley, Elana Elyce, Naomi Finkelstein, Richard Paro and Cyra K. Polizzi.
Stalled Full Voice Stalled, new comedic one-act by Cyra K. Polizzi and Katie Rolnick, explores the unexpected, and sometimes unwanted, communication initiated behind the gendered doors of public restrooms. Comprised of a series of vignettes, Stalled visits a diverse group of restrooms, from a bowling alley to a gay bar, from a dorm to an art museum, each inspiring a different set of humorous interactions. Stalled runs app. 20 minutes and requires 5-6 actors and a few simple set pieces. Past Perfomances Include: Stalled was performed as part of the 8th Annual Women's Performance Art Festival on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 8:00pm at Links Hall in Chicago. Directed by Breahan Eve Pautsch, the production featured Crystal Hartford, Richard Paro, Cyra K. Polizzi, Scott Ian Ray and Mary Anne Rooney. Important Issues Full Voice In this 15 minute comedy, Astrid agonizes over a risqué silent auction, Eve would rather focus on the cutie in pigtails behind the bar, Karen gets excited about some corn and Vanessa is curious about a feminist play. Phoning It In Full Voice Phoning It In is a short comedic performance art piece by Crystal Hartford, Richard Paro and Cyra K. Laura's Bush Full Voice What are a queer librarian, a sex worker and the Clintons doing in LAURA'S BUSH? Full Voice presents LAURA'S BUSH, the new controversial satire by the famously pseudonymous Jane Martin, October 22-30, 2004 in Chicago.
